Just wondering why people drink alcohol? I don’t drink alcohol and never wish to but what’s the thrill in it? You don’t act like that really, it’s an act played by the confused mind. “alcohol makes me have fun”… I don’t need alcohol to have fun, why should you?

Why do people drink alcohol when a lot of them say it tastes bad? Why buy it when it’s expensive and has health risks? Why put yourself through the hangover process?

Constant stress can wreak havoc on our bodies, our minds and our souls. Some medical problems are triggered by continual stress, and emotional trauma, instability and mild forms of depression are also likely to result. By taking a few moments to de-stress when you feel the levels and intensity rising, you can save yourself from undue anxiety and potential health problems. Below are the stress relief options to help you eliminate the physical and mental feelings caused by stress.

Take a Hot Bubble Bath – The soothing suds and warm water can wash your cares away while relaxing your tired, aching muscles. If you want to enhance the healing effects, turn on some soft music, dive into a good book, or just daydream the night away.

Pamper yourself with a Pedicure and a Facial – The softness and smoothness returned to your weary feet may be enough to relax you and help you reduce your stress level, but don’t stop there! Use a gentle cleanser and apply a mud-mask and sit back for 10-15 minutes while it works its wonders. If you’re feeling especially energetic, cut two cucumber slices to place over your eyes. Think happy thoughts and drift away from the things that trouble you.

Throw on your Comfiest Pajamas and Grab a Good Book! – Snuggling up under the covers in your cozy bed with soft, comfortable clothing can be enough to relax you almost immediately. Find your favorite magazine, pull out a book you have been meaning to read or just put on one of those cooling eye-masks to alleviate them from the cares of the day.

Take a 20-minute ?Power-Nap? if you’ve got more things on your To-Do List – Right when you get home from work, shed your business attire and hop into your bed-set your alarm for 20 minutes if you have other things on the evening’s agenda, or allow yourself to awake naturally if you have a free schedule. Your energy should return to you in no time!

Exercise – Go for a jog, do some abdominal workouts, aerobics or lift some weights. Exercising renews the body and gives the mind an easy escape from daily troubles.

Light an Aromatherapy Candle and Play some Soft Music – Close your eyes and imagine whatever peaceful moments come to mind. Relax and think about your hopes and dreams for the not-so-distant future. (Be careful not to leave candles burning unattended).

Convince your Sweetheart to give you a Massage! – A simple back massage or foot massage has been known to greatly reduce stress and send the recipient into a super-relaxed state. Just don?t forget to return the favor when your sweetie is having a bad day!

Kick Back in Comfortable Clothes and Look through your Photo Albums – Memories of happy times can easily bring a smile to your face and take you back to days when the tides weren?t so turbulent? Plan a vacation or a get-together with friends for another photo-taking opportunity to add to your scrapbooks, and the simple act of having something to look forward to should significantly help you cope with your stress.

Start Keeping a Diary or a Journal, just for yourself! – Record your innermost thoughts and feelings, and vent out your angst of the day. It can be very effective to get your troubles off your chest and onto a sheet of paper, where they?ll stay for the rest of the night.

Do Something for YOU – Play an instrument, knit or crochet, work on a scrapbook or partake in another of your hobbies. Lose yourself in the moment and do not think about your stress until you must. Go to bed early with a light heart and dream of happy and carefree moments ahead.

Try something like Yoga or Meditation to Relieve the Day’s Stressors – Beneficial results occur by relaxing the body through yoga exercises. Mental, physical and spiritual responses to yoga and meditations can very powerfully reduce stress’s effects on your mood and your body in general.

Break out of the Routine! – Do something unusual and avoid the stressors. Your laundry can wait another day or two, run the dishwasher tomorrow and just relax! Get together with a few friends and go on an adventure-leave the town you know and the buildings you inhabit day after day and take a hike, hit up the beach or go sailing on a beautiful body of water.

Spend Time with Loved Ones and Pets! – If they are the ones making you stressed out, you may think about some alone-time, but more times than not, there’s nothing quite like that unconditional love freely given by our furry friends who look to us for the same affection.

No matter what stressors affect you from day to day, it is important to try to combat them before they get out of hand. Job related stress could follow you home and may then have an effect not only on you and your body but on your family, too. Do what you can to reduce stress and ask those who are close to you for advice if you can’t find a reasonable alternative to the taxing feelings forced upon you by stress.
Remember: worrying does not get you anywhere – all it does is take up time. Get out there and do something about it!

Guest written by our friend Gladys Fuentes

When writing a paper for English you are always required to have a certain number of credible sources. These can be either books you check out from the library, magazines, or credible websites. It is so much quicker to use the cleartvbundle.com to search for the credible websites. Looking through numerous books to try and find sections of text you can use for your paper is very difficult and time consuming. The same goes for looking through medical journals or established magazines. Using an article online is helpful because they are catalogued well and you can find hundreds by simply typing in one search. You can read the quick description of the article and before you know it you are aware of how it can be added into your paper.

This is especially beneficial when you have multiple classes. Books are heavy and taking home several in each of your school subjects would be enough to give you a back ache. When finals come around you really don’t need the added stress of returning more than ten books or wading through them for useful information. Try to lighten your load by using technology to your advantage.

We are an aging society and we need our nurses, doctors and other professionals to lead a healthy life. We also want these people to feel good and look good and they can do this by the types of clothing they wear usually referred to as scrubs.

Most of these people I am referring to are in the medical field and wear medical scrubs. Many times in the past these people wore something such as drab blue scrubs and scrub pants. But in today’s environment there are many more choices to look professional but look stylish also with spiffy uniforms and maybe even great scrub hats. Don’t we all feel better and have more zip when we look good.

That is why we would like our nurses to look good in a great looking nursing scrubs. This is what you will find at blueskyscrubs.com. You will find great scrubs and great nursing and medical uniforms. So if you are in that field or any field that requires this type of uniform, you need to check this out.

Still can’t live without your straightening iron? Once you know how to achieve that sleek, smooth look it’s hard to go back. It really doesn’t matter which flat iron you use: ceramic, thermal, metal or ionic – they all damage your hair with over-use and inappropriate use. They heat keeps your hair dry and over time will damage the ends of your hair.

Here are 10 tips to help you and your flat iron work side-by-side without damaging your hair.

1. Keep your flat iron clean. It will last longer and do less damage to your hair.2. Use a styling aid to prevent frizz before you blow dry. Sealed Ends by BC Bonicure seal the ends of your hair locking out frizziness by 79 percent. Use it after your blow dry to get rid of frizz.

3. Practice before you head out to any major event. It’s very easy to use once you get the knack of it.

4. When using the iron on your hair comb, on the section you are using first, before running the iron through it.

5. Try avoiding using any products until you finish straightening out your hair.

6. Use small sections. The smaller the section the flatter and more weightless your hair will be.

7. Use even pressure while stroking your flat iron from the root to the end without stopping on any part of the sectioned hair.

8. Use a wide bristle brush on your hair while brushing your desired shape into place.

9. Use a lightweight serum to smooth any frizz left over. You’ll only need a little.

10. Let your iron cool; clean its surface with a cloth so you’ll be ready to use it again tomorrow.

It’s been a week that am sooo stressed because of my blog. My lyresh fashion blog has been having a trouble lately and of course all because of me, stupid me.. All my contents were gone, the comments, and the theme (sad face). But thank God I still have my theme file, so no worries about that. But all my old posts are gone, SIGH I don’t freaking know what to do anymore. I’ve been trying to import them but it still doesn’t work. Anyway I found my savior ate dauphine. I was soo delighted when she said, Sure i can host your blog (what a relief), She is the new host of my two blogs now, lyresh chiq && lyresh fashion. I am soo blessed I have a friend like her. She and her husband helped me a lot with my blogs. Thanks ate dauphine, you are the coolest ate I ever had here online.

Am trying to recover with my blogs now. It really did heat me when i lost everything here. But ohh well, nothing i can do now i guess unless ate dauphine’s husband will help me. Anywayz, am so excited for my 2nd theme that i’ve purchased. Hoping it’ll be done pretty soon. I sure will let you guys see it uhuh..

Thanks to my Lil sister JL, for helping me fix the problems with my blog. Lurve you2x bunches. Keep up the good work lil JL. Ate’s soo proud of yah.

Guest post written by Denise Stoker

One Saturday morning while I was browsing the local flea market, I came across a set of great brass cabinet and drwer pulls. They were such a big set of them that I couldn’t pass them up and I knew the perfect room for them, my kitchen.

At the time, I had tacky white cabinets that were there when I bought the house and had been looking for an excuse to call up sears cabinet refacing service. I seized that opportunity and called them. After some consultation, I decided to pick out some deep brown ones that would look vintage-y but not like they belonged in your great-aunt’s sad, outdated kitchen.

After the cabinets were finished, I stopped by a few antique stores and went through the flea market a few weekends to find some other antique pieces to incorporate into my décor, like a bread box that I put a matched pull on. I’m really happy with my kitchen and my remodeling even inspired my friend Beth to remodel hers too!

Coloring your hair is perhaps the quickest and most dramatic way to change your look. It is also an excuse to go out and buy a new wardrobe of clothes, because you’ll find that what suited you as a brunette looks rather drab on a new blonde.

There are two types of hair dyes: permanent and semi-permanent, with variations of each.
A) Permanent Tints:
Must be mixed with hydrogen peroxide to lift hair color. The peroxide opens the hair cuticle so that the tint can penetrate the cortex and form the color. The higher the level of peroxide, the quicker and lighter the result.
B) Semi-Permanent Colors:
They don’t actually lift the color – you can either vary the tone within your natural highlights or go darker. Quasi-color contains ethanolamine and 3% peroxide which slightly opens the cuticle. This means that the color can last up to 20 washes and will softly fade as you shampoo, causing no regrowth problem.
C) Semi-Permanent Vegetable Colors:
Contain only vegetable extracts and natural ingredients, so no color is stripped from your hair. It is similar to henna but it doesn’t coat the hair (adds shine though). This color sits on the hair’s surface and will wash out after about 8 shampoos.

Different coloring methods suit different hair styles, so get some expert advice when deciding which one to go for…
Skin Tone: Your new hair color should complement your skin tone. Light-skinned people don’t look good with very dark hair because it draws color out of their skin. Dark, tanned skin doesn’t look great when mixed with a one-tone blonde, but four or five blonde, chestnut or honey tones look fabulous.

BLONDE:
If you would love to be blonde, talk the process through with your colorist (or stylist) before you go for it. It should be relatively painless on virgin dark brown hair, but if your hair has been permanently tinted then the process will become a long saga.
Never attempt this kind of dye job on your own for the first time.

RED:
Red is the ultimate sexy shade, for color that cries out for attention. Hair holds on to red-toned pigments well, so going copper-top can be easy for most people.
But be warned – if you are blonde you will usually have to go two or three shades darker than your natural color to achieve a rich red (brunette), and it’s not easy to reverse it.

BROWN:
Brunette is always a safe choice as it suits nearly every girl in town. Varying the shade with highlights can achieve a huge range of looks. From chocolate brown and bronze shades to honey or dark blonde, combinations of natural tones gives incredible shine as darker-pigmented tints add condition to your hair.

BLACK:
This is by far the easiest color to accomplish because the molecules in black tints are larger and will cover all hair types very effectively. Caution is needed when using black as it only tends to look good on people with darker and olive skin tones. it’s great for getting the goth look, but definitely not for your granny.

Some popular coloring questions:

* Will coloring my hair damage it?
Only if the wrong level of peroxide is used or you are over-processing (too many permanent colors are applied) your hair. If you constantly change your hair color , especially if you go from blonde to brown and back to blonde, you must regularly use deep conditioning treatments.

* Why can colored hair look dull?
Over-processing is the biggest reason. If your hair is starting to look dull, use semi-permanent colors where the pigments sit on top of the hair adding plenty of tone and shine.

* What’s better for my hair, semi-permanent or permanent color?
Semi-permanent color give your hair a higher shine and enhance condition, but they won’t lift natural hair color. Also, a semi-permanent tint will not cover large amount of grey hair (more than 50%).
If a permanent tint is used correctly, you will always achieve a beautiful effect and semi-permanent tints can be used to maintain these permanent treatments, adding condition.
